Our Purpose

  • Collect and sell new and used donated building materials.
  • Reuse building materials and save landfill space.
  • Build relationships with donors, customers, volunteers and those who benefit from nonprofit proceeds.
  • Our proceeds support those living on the margins, both locally in McPherson County and globally through Mennonite Central Committee.

How Can I Get Involved?

Donate

Construction Materials such as lumber, doors, windows, ceiling tile, bathroom fixtures, lighting, plumbing, electrical, paint, trim, cabinets, flooring and much more (brick, shingles, plywood, sheet rock, door hardware, etc).

Other materials may be accepted, and it there are questions please call us at 620-245-0122 and we will give directions.

Volunteer

Volunteers work with customers
to assist with purchases.

We are always looking for more volunteers. Volunteers make this place able to operate. Any and all are welcome to come help us out. Here are a few things that are always needed:

Receiving, Tagging, Stocking, Repairing, Testing, Cleaning, Pricing Products
Assisting customers (helpful to have knowledge of home repair and construction expertise),Pick-up and delivery, (car/truck needed),Yard maintenance, Cashier,
Advertising and Marketing, (includes writing, Facebook advertising, Newsletters, Website maintenance), Committee position: Human Relations, Operations, Finance. Board member: monthly meetings, involvement in work program, planning and oversight. Advisory:  Fund Development, Interaction with special interest or ethnic groups, Spanish language communicator and interpreter.

Purchasing & Donating Items

Donations received from McPherson Community
  • Anyone is welcome to purchase or donate items.
  • The ReUse It Center is a faith-based nonprofit. Therefore, your donations are tax-deductible.
  • We take new & used items.
  • We would be glad to take cash or material donations from anyone, including private parties, businesses, manufacturers, etc.
